My name is Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Guide & Bass Pro Shops Pro-Staffer .

I have been a guide on Lake Fork since 1982. I was guiding part time then, and began guiding

full time in 1986. I was very fortunate to visually see and fish the area before it became

Lake Fork, having been around it most of my life. Through hunting and fishing the area before

Lake Fork came to be has helped me tremendously in my guide service, with the knowledge

of which the maps do not show.
To my knowledge, I offer the most continuous guide service on Lake Fork.

HISTORY OF LAKE FORK

Lake Fork, located a short 80 miles east of Dallas, Texas, is the

current state record holder with a monster 18.18 lb.

Bass caught January 24, 1992. With a surface area of 27,690 acres,

Lake Fork has plenty of un-crowded habitat for some of the world’s

largest Largemouth Bass to grow strong and

healthy. Being predominantly “Catch & Release”,

Lake Fork has earned its reputation of being the

“Best Lake in the nation to catch a 10 lb. Bass!” Additionally,

Lake Fork has 34 of the top 50 Bass caught in the state of Texas,

with the top 6 all over a whopping 17 lbs. All this gives you the best

chance of catching the trophy of a lifetime.

during these tank demonstrations is based on current fishing conditions

and patterns on world famous Lake Fork.

Marc demonstrates several techniques during each seminar,

and explains how to rig and work each lure. It's

invaluable information for both the novice and the advanced angler.

Both before and after each seminar, Marc is available

to answer any questions that you might have about Lake Fork

and the different techniques he uses.
